The traffic is bumper to bumper. Looking in your rearview mirror you see a car jump out of your lane speed up the merge lane and try to get in your lane in front of you.
Do you let him in or do you keep so close to the bumper of the guy in front of you that he can't squeeze in?
I always allow mergers in front of me if they are legitimately merging into my lane. But somebody who jumps out of my lane to sneak in front of me I never allow in. I did this today and the guy trying to get in front of me got all pissed off and gave me the finger
As much as this pains me to say, I agree with you Mook. I would not have let that guy in whether he tried in front or the back of my car. I will slow down for the mergers that are not trying to cut in line though and give them a spot.
The one thing I have noticed though is if I am driving my old truck, nobody ever tries to cut in front of me, but if I am driving my wifes new Tahoe, everybody wants to cut in front. I guess they know that old truck just may not want to slow down.
