It has happened quite a few times, I think a US Figure Skating squad was wiped out (in the 60's?). I guess some sort of redraft would occur, but MLB says that's confidential. Interesting link there to the ESPN article, thanks for posting that.

By the way this is interestin,at least to me. Both my wife and I have had terrible landings in Detroit due to winds....
And in 1998, the St. Louis Blues had a close call when their TWA charter plane needed several attempts to land at Detroit Metropolitan Airport because of strong crosswinds.
"That was the toughest landing I've ever seen as far as rocking and rolling," Blues general manager Larry Pleau said at the time. "I was in the front of the plane and the pilot's door was open. I could see the lights of the runway, and then the runway would disappear. We were going from side to side."

I wouldn't be suprised to find out that MLB's plan was to "wing it". Seriously, there's no reason you wouldn't share it, unless you didn't have anything to share.
