This is for a regular 5x5 redraft league

.... it's early and some of this will probably change but it is what it is for right now......

1. Alex Rodriguez

2. Miguel Cabrera
3. David Wright
4. Garrett Atkins
5. Aramis Ramirez

6. Scott Rolen (Injury concerns scare me some)
7. Chipper Jones (Same as Rolen)
8. Troy Glaus (Not a big fan of the perinnial .250 hitter)
9. Ryan Zimmerman (Seems to be more of a line drive hitter than a home run hitter)
10. Chone Figgins (More value at secondbase but if your have a power hitter at second *Utley*, then speed at third with Figgins could be nice)
11. Eric Chavez (Don't really like this guy at all for fantasy purposes)

12. Morgan Ensberg (Never been a big fan but he does have big year capabilities)
13. Bill Hall (I see a regression but he is still young and on an improving team)
14. Hank Blalock (I wish I knew what he would do from year to year???)
15. Adrian Beltre (Still under 30 and its his 3rd year with Seattle so he could finish with some solid numbers as long as he can start off better than .200 for the first month or two)
16. Chad Tracy
17. Aubrey Huff (I like him as a sleeper)
18. Kevin Youkilis
19. Melvin Mora
20. Julio Lugo

others.....
Joe Crede
Mark Teahen
Ed Encarnacion
Mike Lowell
Freddy Sanchez
Andy Marte
BJ Upton

My overview.... after the top 5 everyone else could put up similar numbers because of injuries, guys bouncing back or whatever. I'll probably want to go after one of those top 5 to feel comfortable. I do like Huff to sneak back in there and have a solid year.

I was thinking the same thing going into my rankings about Atkins but the more I got to looking at it I think he is right where he should be!

Zimmerman is in a huge park and I think he will be more of a line drive guy who will hit 20-25 hrs tops, at least until he gets out of Washington.

I really like Chipper alot too but hes going to be 35 and hasn't seen 500 ABs since '03.

I just do not believe Atkins will sustain his power. He seems to be more of a line drive hitter and should hit around 15-20 HRs. His BA should stay around where it is.

Zim was only 22 yo and hit very well at home. If his numbers improve on the road, he should hit 25+ HRs with a good BA with speed. He did hit 47 2B as a rook so power is definitely there.

A-Ram should definitley be above Atkins. Always go with the proven player.

Atkins is sick he's definitly up there with Wright and Cabreara. Especially with more power coming to the rockies lineup

I will get my power somewhere else if I have to but I'm taking Zim over Larry or Rolen at this point.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Well, obviously if you disagree with me it means that you're wrong. :-D

Last year was a down year for him, and he still scored 96 runs and drove in 83.
