OK, I think I may be nuts. I'm really considering dropping Bonds. This is obviously not a keeper league, and I'm down nine homeruns, and tons of RBIs and Runs.
I could catch the guy in average... but rototimes says this about Bonds:
Barry Bonds (OF) SF will not play on Wednesday, and he could take off two of the Giants' final four home games, as well, according to the AP.
Meaning I may get three games out of him.
I need steals and am thinking of grabbing Crawford.
(By the way, Madison... I got into this cafe from work!)
Well, since you have daily roster moves, I would play Bonds when he plays. Even if Bonds only plays 3 more games, what he can do with 3 games is just too valuable for me to cut.
You have to do what you have to do, to give yourself the best shot at winning, but personally, I wouldn't cut Barry.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

*grumbles about Barry not playing against Houston on Wenesday*
Well, there are several problems. I have no bench. Just pitchers. My worst pitchers are two closers I just picked up--Reitsma and Lopez. But I'm down one save, and need them. If I cut them now, I won't get them back till Thursday or Friday, when they'll be little help. I need all my pitchers. I'm winning all but the save cat, and if I'm going to win this matchup, I need all my pitchers.
Tomorrow, I can cut Beckett, Morris and Zambrano, as they make their last starts tomorrow night. But then I'd have Bonds on my roster for one of his off nights.
I could cut Ordonez, but since he's playing regularly, I really can't do it. Bonds is the only one who is going to sit nearly half the games from here on out. Even if he plays three games, and hits two homeruns per game, that'd mean I'd still need four homeruns from my other players and my opponent not to get any homeruns.

Hmm. Good point. Would you suggest dropping him for Sanchez then? Or hoping Podsednik wins it for me?
