Ultimate Fantasy Baseball League-100 minors guys

Postby lilzaneisme » Sun Oct 08, 2006 2:44 am

Im looking for the best 20 players I can find for a new dynasty league I am starting.

Entry:$20-$30..website fees will be included

Roster: 25 majors
100 minors

ou also have a 40 man roster and have to designate for assignment when a player is dropped from the 40 man(like in MLB)

if a player is on YOUR team for 4 years without being on the 40 man..he goes to the rule 5 draft..only diff is you only have to add them to the 40 man

(rule 5 wont come into play until 4 years after the league has started)

Draft:Players will be drafted but will have salaries slotted for their pix.

ex.

1st round pick 1-5=X
6-10=X
15-20=X

...

FYP Draft:15 rounds..slotted bonuses that will go on budget

International Signings Budget: You will bid on 16 year olds after the signing period

Scoring will be:H2H Roto

Categories will be voted on by league

This is my 2nd dynasty league effort

you can see my other league which is going into its second year on mlfb.net

Post with e-mail if inetersted

why would you want a minor league of 100 when at least 80 of them wouldn't be worth anything?

Kinda like the icecream bar scenario. 1 is outstanding, a 2nd is great, but by the time you eat that 4th one you're about sick and tired of icecream for a while. Having to manage 100 Minor Leaguers would be like pulling teeth (sans the Novacaine). Even if you were a genious and managed to corrall a whole boatload of Major League ready talent - there would be no place to put it - and what would you trade the excess for, more prospects or draft picks?

100 is simply overkill - and trying to find 20 dedicated owners no less that are willing to dedicate the time and effort to managing that monstrosity of a roster surely has to be daunting. It's one thing to get guys to say - "I'm in", its's totally another to get guys to say - I'm staying.
