i wasn't around to see chevy chase but based on movies like caddyshack and fletch, i'd imagine that he'd be up near the top to me. i've always been a fan of his style of comedy.

i'd go with kevin nealon as well.

I think Norm edges Nealon, but just barely.

And this:

I keep forgetting that the Weekend Update was garbage during the years Lorne Michaels had left the show, from about 1980-1985. Apparently the show, the cast and especially weekend update during this time are pretty much forgotten.

Weekend Update during those years (which was called SNL Newsbreak and Saturday Night News at that time) was hosted by such no-name losers as Charles Rocket, Brian Doyle-Murray, Mary Gross, Christine Ebersole, and Christopher Guest.

Lorne came back, along with Weekend Update and a completely new cast. This started with Dennis Miller, then Nealon, MacDonald, Quinn and then the whole Tina Fey + Whoever. Fey and Fallon weren't bad, but Fey and Poehler were boring if you ask me.

I haven't even seen the new ones with Poehler and Seth Myers.

Nealon and Norm were definitely the best though.

;-D

Brian Fellow is not an accredited zoologist, nor does he hold an advanced degree in any of the environmental sciences. He is simply an enthusiastic young man with a sixth grade education and an abiding love for all of God's creatures...share his love tonight on Brian Fellow's Safari Planet!

Brian Fellow made me want to punch out my TV set. I never once laughed at any of those skits. Maybe I'm just not a Tracy Morgan fan. :-P

Tracy Morgan and Kelly Gruber should set up a support group for untalented men with women's names.
