Did anyone watch that show? I heard they might bring it back as a mini-series. That would be awesome.

Carnivale was a GREAT show. My wife and I loved it. It's only flaw was it's Lost-esque way of dragging a storyline on WAAAAY too long with no resolution or explanation. However, the story concept was awesome and the cast incredible. Clancy Brown is the baddest sumbeech around. From Hadley in Shawshank Redemption to Brother Justin in Carnivale, the guy is money in the bank.

I would love for them to bring it back. C'mon HBO! Do it!

I figured someone must have seen it... it's like Arrested Development; everyone loved it, but no one watched it.

i did too and loved it.

was the mini-series stuff recent? becasue i'd browse the boards at IMDB quite a bit, and basically it sounded like it's done. The creator David Knopff basically sold the entire rights to HBO and it's their call as to what they want to do with it. he said he had about another 10 years of actual story that would need about 40+ episodes to tell, and said that he'd rather see it unfinished than have some weak mini-series wrap it up

i believe he was also interested in finishing it in book form, but alas, HBO has the rights

sorry i dont have any links, but the Carnivale board at IMDB has some decent info on it

i do know HBO is wrapping Deadwood as a mini-series though, so there could be some hope, but i'm not counting on it :,-(

Damn you HBO and your great shows that you cancel because they become "too expensive"! With no Carnivale and eventually no Deadwood I'll probably drop them from my cable.

And how can they cite that it's too expensive to shoot those shows and then bring us a show like frickin' Rome? Gimme a break. :-t

I bought the DVDs in the last two weeks for a total of $40 (great deal for 24 hours of entertainment) and I have to say this is probably one of the best shows I have ever watched (top 10 easily). Season 2 is so intense and weird that it really sets in your mind after you watch it.

I can't believe they canceled this show. Does anyone know if they are going to make a movie or a miniseries out of this? There are so many unanswered/unexplained things. :~(
