Since we've had about 5 school shootings in the last week wouldn't you say its time we have at least "Better" gun control.

Our current system obviously is not working if kids are getting guns in there hands. Or loony toons who are of age.

Can we put chips in the guns or something to track them??

We have to be able to do something better then this.

Today a gunmen killed a number of students at an Amish school.

Now my preference would be no guns at all. However, this isn't going to happen. We do need to find a better way to protect ourselves from loonies with guns.

Yeah, computer chips in guns. So if our government ever turns on us we'll be powerless against them. Great idea. ;-7

Well I don't think the government is gonna turn on us but thats a good point.

ha...this is going to be one of those rare instances where Omaha and I are probably going to agree on this issue. I have a few guns, and a conceal carry permit, and fully support gun rights.

I "support" gun rights yet I also support my right to not be shot.

I'd like to see no guns but will support others right to think otherwise. I just think we need to do a better job so these guns don't slip to loonies and kids.

I'm just trying to figure out how.

Chips is just an idea I thought of really quick.

I support the full legalization of drugs but I don't support those drugs getting into the hands of children. I think the pro-gun people would agree with that logic applied to guns.

We obviously need to do a better job keeping guns away from kids. Kids are idiots. It's not like Mark Foley is dating them for their minds. They shouldn't have access to these guns. What can we do about it?

I dunno, the dude in Colorado was über-creepy, stalking the girls at MySpace, using his brother's stolen gun (I dunno if the brother fingered him but perhaps he might bear some responsibility?) and then just marching into the classroom to get the ones he wanted. Nobody even half that screwed up really ought to have a weapon sharper than a butter knife.... :,-(

My personal thought is that MORE people should carry guns.

Don't you think a kid would think twice about marching into a school or community center to shoot things up if he thought the teacher or secretary was going to be packing as well?

The way things are now, a kid gets his hands on a gun and knows he's got no resistance, so he can go in and just do as he pleases...
