For me it has to be Jermaine Dye for the reasons you stated. I picked him up mid to late rounds and he's been a 1st-round producer. With D.lee out he picked up the slack and is a big reason for why Im in 1st.
Coming in a very close 2nd in Matt Holliday. I picked him up late-July and he's hit at a 130-40-130-15 .330 pace ever since. If I didnt trade for him I WOULD NOT be in 1st and probally not even in the top 3.
My cy-young is John Smoltz. He's nothing but reliability. In 2nd is Joe Nathan who not only has been the best fantasy closer, but recently picked up a key win thatll set me up for a HUGE possible point or two tommorow.

I'd give mine to Dan Uggla. I never thought id have that kind of production out of my 2B hole this year. I started off with Jose Castillo as my 2B.

Bill Hall. He's given me amazing numbers from a guy who I wasn't expecting it from. He's been arguably my teams best hitter and from the 2B spot.
