If that experts draft is any indication, Tejada will be a solid steal next season.

If he was on the juice a decline could be expected next season. Age doesn't help either.

Why didn't he decline this year then?

Even as an O's fan I'm really starting to believe that he's taken some PED's, although I'm not like most when it comes to how awful that is (I'll save that for another day).

I know his power numbers declined but he still had a pretty damn good season.

I think it is a pretty good bet he juiced at some point but it is hardly a certainty. Either way, he is likely 2 years removed from anything that they can trace if he was. I would not anticipate any falloff from this year's numbers as such. His days as an MVP with 35+ HRs are probably over.

Still he posted:

.331 24/100/99/6 with an 880 OPS going into today.

That is pretty darn good for anyone, let alone a SS and those numbers are btter than his 2005 and 2003 numbers. I do not think you can draw any definitive conclusions.

Draft him, ride him in the first half and trade him near the all star break. Just like with Ripken playing every game every year has caught up with Tejada and he tires out in the 2nd half now. He really needs to rest 5-10 games a year but I'm sure he wont' do it.

It is not just Tejada though. It is the entire O's team. They basically pack it in at the end of August and mail in Sept. We have seem this for a number of years under different managers too. That team basically does not do a thing in Sept but lose. Chris Ray I believe had 2 saves in all Sept (and 2 Ws). I do not think Mora did a whole lot either in Sept.

There is something about the at organization or the players in that organization. They jusy seem to give up and do not even try to do respectable for their own self-esteem. Tejada's numbers were not so bad in Sept though. But for whatever reason, production as a whole on that team just collapses the last month it would seem.

I think we should blame our organization first before our players. I like the fact that Angelos spends tons of money but I hate the way he runs the team and makes decisions. We really need to get rid of people like Jim Duquette or atleast let him and the rest of the front office goofs to make their own decisions. Angelos needs to sign the paychecks and back away.
