What else was he supposed to say??? Rollins is his teammate now, not Jeter. I don't agree with him, but in a pennant race, sometimes you have to say things to pump your teammates up a notch.

Yeah, give Gordon a break. It's like telling your girlfriend she's hotter than Jessica Alba--you know it's not true, but it's the right thing to say.
