Yes he can win it. I'm not a fan of giving it to pitchers though. They don't have the same day-in and day-out impact that everyday players do. They only have an effect in 1 out of every 5 games.

I understand that point, but I'd also argue that pitchers have a much more profound impact on that one game than a hitter does in the same game. Now is it five times as much? I don't know. Don't nobody know.

Point taken, but I just think that hitters have a much more profound impact on the regular season.
In the playoffs, it's a different story. Every single game is so crucial in the playoffs, that an ace can turn around or even win a series for you. In the regular season though, when things aren't as crucial, the offensive players have a much bigger impact on the team in my opinion.
