Refute the argument, not the person making it. ;-D

He thinks that production in September means more than production over the entire season.

Do I really have to refute that?

Exactly. That's why I found it odd that you would make a comment directing me to refute something that was so obviously flawed.

Despite Chavvy's poor year offensively, which may bias voters, I still think he'll end with the gold glove. Other than that, I agree with most of his choices.

Ok.

Runs Created:
Pujols- 148 (1)
Howard- 132 (4)

RC/27:
Pujols- 11.3 (1)
Howard- 9.0 (5)

OPS:
Pujols- 1.096 (1)
Howard- 1.082 (2)

Win Shares:
Pujols- 36 (2)
Howard- 29 (6)

VORP:
Pujols- 84.0 (1)
Howard- 80.0 (2)

There you go. This is a non-issue. Albert Pujols is the best player in baseball this year, bar none. Anyone trying to argue that Howard is the MVP is either biased or just not paying any attention.

Well, even the numbers probably don't matter anymore. With Philly eliminated and the Cards a game away from taking the division, I think Pujols has it locked up.

That pretty much covers it.
Pujols is the better hitter.
Pujols is the better defender.
If you like clutch stats Pujols crushes Howard.
Pujols is the Cardinals offense.

If you vote for Howard you are voting for him cause you like HR and RBI.
