My sympathies Mets fans, I was looking forward to seeing Pedro in the postseason and I would have loved to see him beat the Yankees if it came down to another subway season.
As I said before, this is a tough postseason to call. I don't see a dominate team like last year's White Sox. Every team has lots of question marks, especially pitching depth.

yea imo the angels are the best staff in the all of mlb and after that it's a bunch of mediocore pitching.

We'll see but Oakland or Detroit could easily be that team.

Has anyone seen the yankee lineup, 220 mill can do wonders,
if the yankees dont win the world series its a joke, lineups insane , best closer & good pitching
i hate the yankees more than anyone on the planet, but they are HUGE favorites

The lineup is impressive but isn't basically the same one they had in the playoffs last year?

Negative! They have Damon and Abreu now. No more Bernie Williams or Bubba Crosby or Tino Martinez.
What does this injury (and this season's mediocre performance) mean for Pedro's value next season? Will he be an elite pitcher next season after he has healed up, or is that status behind him now?
The Mets have had depth in pitching all season. The Mets were without Pedro much of the season and were sub-.500 when he did pitch. That didn't happen entirely because of offense.
It won't be easy but they still have enough to make it. Ya Gotta Believe.
The AL may be the better league but there really isn't a dominant team in that league either. They're all flawed.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
Actually, Lima is our secret weapon. He'll be mixing the mango juice.
