The writers of long-running TV series Law & Order have once again taken a page from real life, with an upcoming episode that recalls actor-director Mel Gibson's recent drunk driving arrest and subsequent anti-Semitic tirade.

This week, the filmed-in-New York show has been shooting scenes for an episode entitled In Vino Veritas. This instalment of the hit show features comedian Chevy Chase depicting a TV actor who gets pulled over by police on suspicion of drunk driving and unleashes an anti-Semitic rant on the arresting officers.

Huzzah! Another instance where a star plays another star! I wonder how subtle Chevy's portrayal would be in parodying Mel's run-in with the law. }:-)

Wow. A Chevy Chase sighting! I hear they're actually making another Fletch movie, but not with Chase as the lead. I'm not sure whether I should be happy or sad about that.

Am I the only person who absolutely hated Fletch? A few years ago i was taking a business trip to Provo, Utah, and a friend of mine insisted that I rent Fletch before I go because "it takes place in Provo."

So I rent this movie; I've heard of it, heard it's one of Chevy Chase's better comedies and I it was the unfunniest thing ever. And the only scene in Provo was five minutes of Chevy Chase being chased by a dog...

Yeah, needless to say, Provo sucked; not so much for its lack of Flethiness, but rather its lack of alcohol.
