That's your answer right there; find a time of night so that when you wake up you have the stubble you want.
I'd do that, but it would ruin my routine for the mornings.
I have to say that would be pretty cool. I never like the look when its fully shaved. I think I'd try that out if I found it.

Nah, it's just funny because a guy named smooth is asking on tips on how to keep a 5 o'clock shadow. The thread itself isn't that funny or it's just not funny at all.

Get it tatood onto your face.
LoL. Now that would be something!
I know a few chicks who's makeup is tatooed on their face. I asked one of them why one time and she asked me to think about how much time and money she saves by having her "makeup" perfect at all times. Wake up, wash her face, and her makeup is already done. No more buying expensive makeup at the store either.
Oddly enough, her explanation actually made a little sense to me.
While it does look good on her, I still don't think it's a great idea though.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

My facial hair doesn't grow that fast but my beard/goatee trimmer leaves my hair longer than a 5 o'clock shadow. I guess more like 7:30 or 8:00. Maybe I will try the clippers idea but it seems like someone should make a trimmer SOLELY for the shadow.

Agreed on all counts. I'm lazy when it comes to shaving. I have an electric razor and it has a trimmer that pops out and the cutters that shave it completely off. If it's too long, I use the trimmer to get to the 5 o'clock shadow and then shave off the rest. I have a Braun 5612. The middle thing pops up for a decent shadow:

Yea, but that's only if you grow hair quick enough.
