I was just curious as to what umpires people really like or really despise. Either because of their play calling abilities or their demeanor on the field.

My favorites:
Mike Reilly
Ted Barrett
Hunter Wendlestedt

In general, if I know an umpire's name it's because he's awful. I think the four mentioned thus far are the worst.

That's pretty much the same for me. I don't remember an umps name unless he screwed up.

I don't really notice the umpires unless they make a terrible call or the ump behind home plate is extremely slow to call strikes.

Angel Hernandez is about the only umpire I know of and I think that may just be because his name is Angel. :-D
