I'm not a Schilling hater, I just don't think he'll turn down $13 mil in guaranteed money.

Only 2 people said they didn't like Schil in this thread and 1 is a Yankees fan so obviously his opinion is forfeited.

OK. I just wanted to make sure. I'm a Met fan and a huge Schill fan.

Because he's a drama queen and a pompous loudmouth.

I guess him being in Boston is what makes him my most hated pro athlete though, because I'm a huge TO fan.

If it any consilation. I was visiting a friend a Boston TV station (i am not going to say which one), when schilling made his debut as a closer versus the yankees. Every single member of the sports department stood and cheered when Arod homered to give the yankees the win. I think that sums up how he treats the local reporters.

I wonder if there will be any relief / closing opportunities for him.

I hear ARod will send George a check for 20 milion if he flops in the post-season again because he does not want to accept money he has not earned too. And he is going to let the Yankee fans decide the issue for him.

And Sheff will forego free agency if the option is not picked up and sign for whatever Cashman thinks is reasonable.

And Barry Zito is going to tell Boras that he will re-sign with Oakland for far less than market value because the money does not mean too much to him and he loves the A's so much.

Damn. I'm gone for over a week and you still pull this stuff by bringing A-Rod into a discussion that has nothing to do with him?? Give it a rest, please. :-t :-t
