Schilling won't make final start

Sep 27 The Providence Journal is reporting Boston Red Sox SP Curt Schilling will not make his final start of the season Sept. 30, electing to shut down before season's end. Schilling hasn't been happy with himself and with his play. "I should have won a lot more games. I should have pitched better," said Schilling. "If I come back, I don't want to just pitch; I want to come back and be the best. It will be the hardest offseason of my life."
