Have a question for A.LaRoche, Hunter Pence, or John Danks?

Postby Cleveland Steamers » Tue Sep 26, 2006 4:37 pm

I have upcoming interviews with all three top notch prospects. If you have anything you would like to ask any of the three, make a post. Im interested in hearing from homers, rivals, etc.

Andy LaRoche, 3B, LAD - Top 15 prospect in the game but should drop some in the rankings due to a torn labrum (may need surgery). Triple-A Las Vegas.

Hunter Pence, OF, HOU - Top 35 prospect with great athletic ability and power. Double-A Corpus Christi.

John Danks, SP, TEX - Great talent and a top young arm. Has.. the potential of starting the year in Texas. Triple-A Oklahoma.

While this may contain minor league talent, this has quite a bit to do with the Major League teams. I did not think this had to be posted in the Minor League forum but correct me if I am wrong.

Ask Hunter what the big club has told him about when he might be promoted. He is so underrated, even now. I got him in the third round of my NL-only minor league draft this season. I knew, Hunter, I knew you would be a star!! Remember me when you get to the top!! I love you, Hunter!!! Security guards drag me away kicking and screaming.

No problem. I'll see what I can do to get that in.

I'll make sure to ask about their skills and their relationship. Anything else?

Andy LaRoche -

He adjusted pretty quickly to hitting AAA pitching. Does he see a major difference in talent between AA and AAA pitchers?

What pitcher in the majors is he most anticipating/nervous about facing when he makes the jump?

Any truth to the rumors about the Dodgers possibly moving him to 2B?

John Danks -

Being a pitcher that works up in the zone, is he concerned about pitching in the HR happy Texas park?

Has he felt rushed through the Rangers' farm system?

Where did you see the rumors about LaRoche moving to 2nd? I cant find any credible source to use in the interview. It would make alot of sense considering his arm problem.

I remember reading about it in a Josh Boyd interview and several blogs so I wouldn't consider it anything real substantial other than rumor or wishful thinking. With DeWitt being the likely heir apparent now at 2B the likelyhood is probably much smaller than it ever was.

I'll see if I can dig up any of the links.

Which minor leaguers do they think will put up the best fantasy numbers over the next few years in the majors? :-b
Bold Predictions:

Grady Sizemore will have more value than Jason Bay regardless of draft position

Aramis Ramirez in 155 G will hit over .300 40 HR 110 RBIs

Brian McCann will have more value than Jorge Posada regardless of draft position
