thanks for the reply
basing it on the numbers santana puts up every year that is a fair point. santana will be higher on almost everyones lists, however i would never take a pitcher in the first round of any league, especially a dynasty. It is much easier to find pitching throughout the year (not of santanas caliber but good enough) than it is to find great hitting.

1. Pujols 2. Cabrera 3. Howard 4. Ortiz 5. Arod 6. Santana 7. Vlad 8. Teixera 9. Hafner 10. Reyes 11. Sizemore 12. Wright 13. Crawford 14. Beltran 15. Utley 16. V. Wells 17. Soriano 18. Berkman 19. Jeter 20. Man Ram 21. Holliday 22. Delmon Young 23. Carlos Lee 24. Bay 25. Rollins
Wow Manny that low? I'd think he is still top 12-15. Not too bad but I'd definitely take Hafner over Teixeira, Sizemore and Wright over Reyes.
How many good years do you see Manny having at this point? He's about washed up as it is, and a trade out of Boston (not that it will happen) would really hurt his value. I just don't trust him in a dynasty to pick him in the first couple rounds.
As for Hafner, yeah looking back at it I can see the agrument but it's close.

As for Hafner, yeah looking back at it I'd probably bump him over Sizemore but I think I would still take Teix over him...close though.
Well, Manny's been injured this year and I wouldn't call anyone with a 1.000 OPS washed up.
I think most people would prefer Teixeira over Hafner but Hafner's next two years should be better IMO.

I love the Teixeira bashing, I really do. Soriano I am just not a believer in even coming close to repeating this year, so that explains why he's so low. I guess I am apparently not a Manny believer either, as I can't justify taking him in the first 2 rounds in a dynasty league when he has maybe a couple good seasons left.
But, overall, hopefully my list gives the OP a little more idea of what the general consensus would be.
