AAA affiliate no longer in Norfolk

According to Mets.com, an agreement could not be reached regarding a renewal of their contract, so the Mets are moving their AAA affilliate to New Orleans.

That's great news. It's good to see the Mets taking part in the rebuilding process in NO.

I think it's horrible news but it's nothing against New Orleans. The Norfolk Tides have become a big part of Mets history and it's sad to see it go. On a personal level, I will miss going to Norfolk and getting to see all of their games in Durham when they played the Bulls. :,-(
