Howards Last 13 Games....No pitcher no pitcher

Postby acsguitar » Mon Sep 18, 2006 11:33 am

Just thought this was interesting.

Howards last 13 games of the season.

3 vs. the Cubs 1 in 17ab's (He'll get ~ 10 AB's)

6 vs. the Marlins 8 hr's in 37ab's (He'll get ~ 20 AB's)

3 vs. Washington: 4 hr's this year in 43ab's (He'll get ~ 10 abs)

1 vs. Houston 2 in 16ab's (He'll get ~ 3 abs)

There is some medicore pitching in there. This could be a fun two weeks of baseball!

Unless he hits 16 homers in the next 13 games, I don't see anything to get excited about.

Since I'm facing him, I'm hoping he hits 0 HRs and somehow my Pujols can catch him for NL lead. :*)

So you don't think its exciting that he could be 1 of 6 players and one of 3 non dirty cheaters to hit 60?

Pretty exciting to me ;-D

10 years ago, I would have been thrilled to see somebody closing in on 60 home runs. But since it has been done 6 times and threatened another 5 times since the early 90s, No I don't see it as very exciting anymore. If he gets to 70, then of course it would be exciting, but 60 means nothing anymore.

I think 60 is pretty darn exciting considering only one non cheater has passed it
