Bad pitchers?

Postby thegilby » Sat Sep 16, 2006 7:19 pm

Hi all, I have a question about the Yahoo fantasy baseball head to head leagues. If a pitcher does not get an out and gives up some number of runs, what ERA, WHIP, etc does he get?

Thanks.

So you're saying the ERA and WHIP don't go up?

Hes basically saying they would just add the hits and runs to your weeks total. for example:

Say it was Monday and you had John Smoltz go. He let up 2 runs in 9 innings for a 2.00 ERA.

However, you also had Tom Gordon go. He entered the game in the 9th but left after giving up 2 runs, but didnt record an out.

So, they would add Gordons 2 runs to Smoltz's totals, giving you 4 runs in 9 innings pitched. Your ERA would now be 4.

Do you kind of get this now?

If you had an ERA of infinite, I'm guessing that would lose to everything, but that has never happened to me.
