Is anyone else rolling the dice and throwing him out there for his first start in three months?

I am. I'm in a tight race for W's and K's in my roto league. Even if he gets shelled, it won't hurt me. Since he was one of my 5 keepers from last season, i think he owes me a complete game, 14K 2 hitter. :-)

That is funny Paul. If you are desparate you have to. The only risk is that Oakland will have him on such a low pitch count that he will only pitch 3 or 4 innings.

No mention of pitch count for Thursday's game but you've got to believe they won't have him go more then 80 since they had him throw 60 in his four inning simulated game on Sunday.

Notable quote:
"Four innings for me right now is like seven or eight as far as my body is concerned, and usually there's a lot of muscle soreness the day after you throw that much," he said before the finale of a three-game series against the visiting White Sox on Sunday. "But I actually feel a little better today than I normally would the day after throwing. There's a little bit of soreness, but it's not in the elbow. It's the kind you're used to after you pitch, in the big muscles, and there's not that much of it.

I for one need his K's and hopefully a nice low ERA an WHIP for the day. He'll be in my roster.

Looks like he might be a two-starter for the last week of the season, which would make him a worthy starter even on a pitch count.

It would be nice to see a little more of him to get a better gauge on his fantasy value for next year.

I'm in the opposite situation, with wins and K's in solid shape but close battles in ERA and WHIP. I'm gonna sit this one out, but hope he looks good so I can try those two starts in the final week.

Harden is officially back but will only throw 60 pitches in his first start.

Well, he didn't pitch many innings. But i'll take the 3 innings, 7 K's. I think we have to be encouraged by this outing. Assuming he's feeling alright tomorrow, i think he could be helpful down the stretch run.
