Am I the only who remember the Cubs run to the wild card in '98 when they kept "resting" Kerry Woods because of his sore elbow. He came back and pitched ineffectively in the playoffs and had Tommy John surgery that offserason.

i'm listening to the twins postgame show right now...gardenhire said that it is unfortunate for liriano because he was doing so well in rehab and everything and he wanted so badly to be a part of the twins this year

he also said that he is "obviously" done for the year...sounds like they are going to be as careful as possible with him...meaning bad news for fantasy owners, great news for twins fans

it's nice to see them looking at the big picture and making the right decision regarding his future ;-D ;-D ;-D
