Can't believe there's no topic for this one yet! Anyone know his status and when he'll come back. My playoffs start soon, and if he's out for an extended period, I may have to pick up Kyle Farnsworth.. :-P

I heard Mo would be playing catch on Monday. If this is true, should he be playing in the next couple of days?

everything is up in the air. CBS says he's out until mid september. Shouldn't I be able to put him on the DL if that's the case?

I would imagine most leagues only allow a player to be put on the DL (or IR) if he's officially put on the disabled list by his real team.

Latest Mariano update From Rotoworld:Sep. 10 - 3:35 pm et

Mariano Rivera (elbow) said he felt fine while playing catch Sunday, but he won't throw from the mound until at least Thursday.

"I feel good; much better," Rivera said. "I would say this time was twice as good as before. There's a lot of improvement, but it's still a little tight. I threw more this time, and harder. It's improving, which is the good thing." Rivera will miss at least one more week, which should create additional save chances for Kyle Farnsworth.

since i have a 12 in saves category, im seriously considering dropping rivera to maybe gain pts. in another category. good thing he isnt on the cant-cut-list.
