yea i noticed as you get older, you appreciate a wider range of music.

nowadays, i listen to all sorts, but these are some of my favs:

miles davis/johnny coltrane
AC/DC
Tupac
bone thugs
GnR
bob marley

im more into past music than present music. im not aware of what's cool nowadays since im older now, so i appreaciate the back in the day music.

If you usually listen to rap and are moving into rock try some of the better crossbreed style bands.

Sublime
Rage Against the Machine
Stuck Mojo
Faith No More
Primus
System of a Down

If those don't work for you look into some of the crappier ones.

Limp Bizkit
Korn
311

Put in the bands/songs you like and it will play similar bands and songs. It's awesome.

ACS's list is awesome though so start there.

Did you guys see Newstead cry last night when storm sang "Wish You Were Here?"

:-b Jason had his head buried in his hands right after. He's thinking "Oh no, we're going to Hell for axing the carrier of my love child".

I'm a pretty musically diverse guy myself. I like most of the stuff in this thread. :-)

Pink Floyd
Led Zeppelin
the Beatles
Tool

...when I feel like listening to "good" music

Godspeed you black emperor
Mr. Bungle
Neurosis
Kayo Dot
Isis

...when I feel like listening to "strange" music

And then I like a lot of the stuff that Artful Dodger mentioned too }:-)

Converge
Carcass
Mortician
Cryptopsy
Slayer

ahhhhh... that's the good stuff. :-D

And then sometimes I'll bump the Notorious BIG, Tribe Called Quest, ot Wu-Tang.

Musically, I'm a total mess. :-S Anyone else got more than 600 CDs? :-D

Well obviously my first recommendation will be Guns N' Roses. ;-7 ;-D

After that some of my favorite stuff is The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd. Any Beatles or individual Beatle is great too.

The one song I've listened from them is paradice city, and I like that one. Anyways thanks a lot for the advice everyone. I'll start downloading some of them tomorrow. Appreciate it. ;-D
