Paul doesn't have anything in his pitch selection that is much above MLB average. He can throw his pitches for strikes which helps the fact that he doesn't have overpowering stuff. Only rarely will you see the 92-93 mph fastball, its mostly the 2 seamer that he cuts on occasion that he will throw. Nothing special here, a #4 type pitcher that might have a #3 type ceiling.

Yeah, he's not going to be a fantasy "stud" by any means. His curve is his best pitch, and when it's working he can rack up many K's. When he throws it for strikes, he does very well. The fastball won't overpower anyone, and I don't think I ever see above 92.

Hey, he's one of the Pirates' young arms that should continue to improve with age...if he's a #3 or #4, I'll take it.
