which a better stat for fantasy baseball? You can argue that better means different things so really what would you rather use in a fantasy league???

I prefer OBP. It's a better measure of production than AVG. I'd actually probably use OPS over both of them though.

I don't think it really matters. If you are going for more real-life value I would use OBP but if I was going for more real-life value I wouldn't use wins, RBI or runs either.

Both. :-D

Although if I had to choose just one, OBP. The extra components which BA brings you also normally gets caught up into HR, RBI, and Rs.

I personally like batting average.

The smarter players will use OBP to gauge other categories (runs, SB) and player talent. I personally like having that advantage over my opponents. ;-D

OBP because with average you feel like your guy got cheated out of an at bat every time he walks.
