With all the recent September rookie callups. Which of these players would you target in a keeper league. The obvious ones like Delmon Young are of course already taken. Looking for recent callups that will shortly be Yahoo eligible that I can pick up for the last few weeks then keep for next year. Would prefer someone who would start the season in the big league next year, or would likely get an early callup. vr, Xei

They are worth keeping because it's a keeper league. :(

You are only allowed to add to your team (during the season) players that are Yahoo eligible. Players picked up during the season are slotted as your 17th round pick in next years draft. When multiple players slot into the same round then a "collision" formula adjusts them down in to a unique round.

Why wouldn't you just draft someone in the 17th round next year? There will be a ton of players available then more valuable than the majority of rookies getting called up in September.

That's a possibility too... but players like Delmon Young and Stephen Drew were drafted before the 17th round this year. But like you mentioned, many were drafted in the last couple of rounds, but none of those players panned out (so far). vr, Xei
This is probably a stupid question but is Alex Gordon taken? I know he's not one of the callups nor is he guaranteed to be a starter from the start of 07. But out of all the people left in the minors, I think he's hands down the player with the most potential. His teammate Billy Butler also looks to have a very bright future but like Gordon, he's not a Sept callup at this point.
