It wasnt that long ago dude was mashing everything in sight. He's been in a nasty slide the past few weeks. Anyone know what his deal is?

If you look at his monthly splits, check out his June stats. He hit .330 with a .916 OPS in 25 games. He hit 6 homers that month but somehow managed only 8 RBIs. Without getting too deep into what happened, that is pretty odd and I guess it shows what kind of hitting was going on in front of him.

he's played 130+ games this year. it could just be the daily grind of major league baseball getting to him.

Yeah, he's a young player and young players often hit a wall at this point in the season. He'd played in all but 6 games this year and Bochy gave him off Monday and Tuesday this week to get him some rest.

That's a good point. Maybe a few days off will help him clear his head and pick up where he left off mid-summer

He definitely isn't a flash in the pan, if I need to explain why then you don't know anything about Adrian Gonzalez, lol. (and therefore shouldn't be commenting on him)
