Looks like Matsui might be back by the weekend, starting with a rehab assignment in AA.

Sep 3 Updating a continuing story, the Associated Press' Mike Fitzpatrick reports New York Yankees OF Hideki Matsui (left wrist) is due to begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Trenton Wednesday, Sept. 6, after working out with Class-A Staten Island Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 4-5.
