I just thought of another great Angle memory. When him and Austin tried to see who could hug McMahon the most one night on RAW. :-b

I don't believe he's retired as much as he's taken a hiatus. One of the best things he could do is get the kind of neck surgery that Benoit, Austin, and I think edge have gotten. He kept getting the minor version, but I think he might as well go ahead and get the full blown version of it.

yes he's definetly not retired. i have to imagine he'll be gone a good 12-18 months with all the injuries he's dealing with.

I still remember when The Big Show threw Angle of that platform onto the concrete floor while he was GM of Smackdown. I think that was last time he had any lengthly time off from the ring.

It is a ashame that he has fallen with so much injury when the crowd seemed to be turning around for him and realizing how much he gives them.
We either make ourselves happy or miserable.

The amount of work is the same.

I was kind of disappointed to hear of Angle's departure as he was one of the guys I would put down the remote to watch.
I was surprised they mentioned it on the ECW show since the WWE m.o. is usually mum on these things and would cut someone off cold turkey.
And did I see them make Mick Foley kiss McMahon's butt the other week to keep some girls job who then turned on him :-t This is why I don't watch anymore. A guy who's given his entire life to wrestilng forced to degrade himself like that.

Wow...Kurt Angle is now in TNA. This could actually be very good for him and the promotion. The fact they don't do house shows means he only has to go once a week, which will go a long way in keeping him healthy. It also gives TNA a real main event guy...they need to just give him the belt.

Also now I can see Joe vs. Angle which is one of my dream matches.

Yeah, TNA needed a big current star like Angle, though I don't think it's a very smart career move for Kurt.

But I wonder if any jabs will be taken at Angle on WWE tv? Surely, Vince & Co. are smart enough to not mention this on the air....aren't they?

That would only give casual fans a reason to tune into TNA. I don't watch TNA as I think it's fairly mediocre. I wouldn't have heard about Angle's defection without seeing here at the Cafe. But, now I might check it out......

I would be willing to bet that Vince and the WWE at least make a smart remark about Kurt in TNA tonight on RAW.
