Same here. ;-D

If you drafted Beltran as a sleeper (4th round) and you're other picks held up reasonably well... you should get a bye as well. Beltran would be going in the top 5 right now if we were to redraft... well ignoring his injury.

yeah, I'm going to win 1st place for the regular season and Carlos and Manny played big parts in that. It just figures that both would be on teams that don't really need to play them the rest of the year and both have balky knees when our playoffs start.

Maybe both their stories will change during this 1st round bye for the next week.
When you are a man, sometimes you wear stretchy pants in your room...is for fun.

His knee isn't that bad. I'll probably keep him in my lineup.

Looks like Beltran might be back today (Monday):

From Yahoo!
Sep 3 Marty Noble, of NewYork.Mets.MLB.com, reports New York Mets OF Carlos Beltran (knee) was not in the lineup Sunday, Sept. 3, although he did take swings in the batting cage prior to the game. Manager Willie Randolph said Beltran might be able to return Monday, Sept. 4.

I'd much rather he sit out today and Tuesday and heal up a bit more so he comes back with a vengeance for the remainder of the week :-?

From Rotowire:
Sep 4 Beltran had an MRI exam Monday that confirmed his left knee is only bruised, and he expects to return to the lineup soon, the Associated Press reports. "No major injury, just have a bruise at the top of my kneecap," Beltran said, adding that he was "happy" with the results.

Recommendation: Beltran, who was hurt while crashing into the left-center fence to make a ninth-inning catch Saturday night in Houston, leaving a dent in the fence, missed his second consecutive game Monday night, a 5-0 loss to the Braves. But he took batting practice and said he feels more pressure than pain in his knee. Look for him to return within the next few days, though the knee bruise could impact his ability to steal bases.
