X-rays on Carlos Beltran's left knee were negative, and he's listed as day-to-day with a bruise.
Just a brief scare. Beltran, who was hurt on a diving catch in the ninth inning of Saturday's game, might take a few days off, as there's little reason for the Mets to play him when he's less than 100 percent. Endy Chavez can take over in center field until Beltran is ready to return.

My playoffs start TODAY in a WEEKLY league, really considering putting in the hot Garrett ANderson for Carlos, I can't chance him missing 3-4 games.

Some More Info, quotes, etc....seems to be a non-serious vibe from the quotes and team...not sure how many days he'll miss though...

~Carlos on Injury:"My left knee went into it (the fence) and hit the patella tendon so when I came down that's why I was limping," he said. "I couldn't put pressure on the knee. So I went down and I couldn't stretch it out by myself or bend it."

~When asked how Saturday's collision compared to the violent collision he had with teammate Mike Cameron last season, Beltran said that one was much worse because he didn't know where he was.

"It's totally different. Today I knew where I was. After I heard the boos I knew I was in Houston," he said with a chuckle.

When asked if Beltran said anything to him, he replied, "Just ow, ow, ow." funny!

"I saw him bang his knee," Floyd said. "He'll be all right. He was able to walk on it."
