i swear the cubs have talked about calling him up for a few years now and to my knowledge he hasnt been called up yet. if he has i am pretty sure he didnt have a starting gig for the time he was up. I know they have pierre there so it makes it tougher to bring up Pie. so what do they do? move him to a corner spot? is his arm good enough to play there? or do they trade him? will he be called up this year?

Pierre's contract is up after this season, so Pie could be the Cubs center fielder next season.

Pie still isn't really ready to be a starter in the majors. He got off to a bad start and made some improvements in the 2nd half, but not enough to really make a strong case for being the CF next year. I really hope they don't hand him the job next year cause I don't see it going very well and it would just be rushing him. He is still just 21 and would benefit quite a bit from repeating AAA next year.

i agree. if they rush him they could just end up with corey patterson #2.
