Well it looks like you let the pitching go way too much and ended up with a lot of medicority/question marks in your draft so it is not all that surprising that a lot of them are gone. Not that you should go for pitching early, but imo, when Patterson is the best SP you draft, you have made a mistake.

That said, pitching turnover is usually pretty high in 10 or 12 team leagues. It is not uncommon for 1/3 to 1/2 of the picks being turned over. In fact, most teams turn over a 1/3+ of their draft choices as most late teen/20+ round picks are complete guesswork as is and can be replaced by early season break out players.

Let's see...

Dropped Jones to grab M. Gonzalez
Dropped Patterson due to injury
Dropped Sabathia during injury to make room on DL
Dropped Mulder cause he fails at life
Dropped Duke to pick up Kazmir
And I dropped Cain to pick up some guy named Francisco Liriano ;-7

3 - Halladay, Chris Young, and Smoltz.

Worst moves - decided to draft oliver perez (was planning to draft Liriano in the very next round, and he got taken before I got to him).

Dropped Bonderman before the season started, thinking he would be mediocre.

Fortunately, I dropped him for Dye.

Unfortunately, I dropped Dye for Wigginton before he got hot....

I'm likely going to be in 2nd or 3rd this season, and that move for Dye would have looked brilliant, b/c I would have locked up first if I had kept him. *sigh*

I drafted

Santana
Peavy
Lidge
Hoffman
Hudson
Foulke
Reitsma
Maddux
Byrd

I now have

Santana
PEavy
Schilling
Glavine
Papelbon
Ryan
Gordon
F-Rod
Bush
Julio

B4 the start of year I traded Foulke/Reitsma for Gordon (Golden for me)
I traded O.Cabrera and Penny for Berkman and Wood (Solid for me)
I traded Ordonez and Barmes for Miggy and Schilling (Golden for me)

During the season I traded

5/12 Hoffman for Rowand (I felt dumb for that)
6/12 Arroyo for F-Rod (Loving it)
6/29 Wilkerson/Maddux for Morneau and Ordonez (That was a mega steal)
7/12 Lidge and Hudson for Ryan (Another nice steal)

Added Glavine 8/29

Alot of good moves for me currently have 106 points in this league (Addy is right here to look at that since most of you wont believe it.) http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/196088

FirstPlaceRightHere is my team

I looke back at my draft overall and see quite a few errors though. But still made some smart moves
