I think this is fresh news.

Manager Eric Wedge doesn't know whether Travis Hafner's bruised right hand will allow him to play today.

``We'll just have to see in the morning where we're at with that,'' he said. ``But it's slowly getting better.''

Hafner said he does not feel comfortable holding a bat.

``The swelling has gone down quite a bit,'' he said. ``But I still need to get the strength back in the hand. <b>When I hold a bat, there's not a lot of strength there.</b>''

That part in bold scares me.

What sucks is that if I sub him out for this week (2nd round of the playoffs) then Im probably stuck not using him should he actuallly play tomorrow and the rest of the week.

I just wish they would say he is going to play or he isnt. My guess is that this continues all week and then he pitch hits over the weekend or something should he not play today.

supposedly he is having a tough time gripping the bat. He hasn't done any BP yet. Looks like you can't count on him for tonight.....dammit.
