I would say our club is doomed if he doesn't recover but it just isn't right...Not about baseball now

Take all the time you need Jon...We're all pulling for ya

Catching it early is is usually the key and the way these athletes get checked all the time, they probably caught it fast. My Uncle got diagnosed 20 something years ago, and he's been "relatively" healthy since then but he's an old man now anyway.... At this point, baseball is probably the last thing on Lester's mind. Damn shame.

Mario Lemieux beat it, so hopefully Jon can too. All the best for a speedy recovery! ;-D

Agreed. First Papi's heart situation and now this...Red Sox having a rough go of it lately.

Prayers are with Jon Lester.

Could it really get any worse for the Red Sox?

Geez, awful time for the Red Sox.. and 6 months of chemo??? That's alot to get through. My grandfather had a couple months of it and could barley do thing (granted my grandpa is a tad older then Lester.)

Good luck to Lester and hope he can continue doing what he loves.
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike
