Anyone listened to any of this? It's Mike Shinoda's (from Linkin Park) hip-hop album, and one of the songs won "Ringtone of the Year" at the VMAs last night. I'd never heard about this until then.

I'm not big into hip-hop anymore, but I love LP and Shinoda's work there, and I'm curious if this is something to check out.

Anyone have any lowdown?

It's fair to middlin'. I've heard 2 or 3 songs on the radio. I'm more the Slipknot, Lamb of God kind of guy so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

I heard one song on the radio and I stabbed myself in the ears

It was seriously some of the worst music I had ever heard in my life, he was literally just talking with absolutely no rhythm with music playing in the background. With horrible lyrics. And did I mention no flow? Terrible.

He was about the only thing that made me not like Linkin Park, and then I hear this "Where'd you go" song and I think to myself...why do they let this guy keep making music?

Remember the Name is such a sweet song. It's pretty good to pump you up. I remember they played it during the NFL playoffs last year.

His album's ok. Worth giving a listen to. It's got severe ups and downs as far as quality of listening, and he does manage to lose all touch with the beat of the song pretty frequently, yet I still don't mind giving it a listen from time to time.
