Crank

Early buzz is that it's a fantastic action film that doesn't take itself too seriously... Jason Statham, as always, is awesome.

I was thinking of finally catching SoaP this weekend, but I might opt for this instead.

Is this the movie that's kind of like Speed, but only with a guy who needs to keep his adrenaline up to avoid being poisoned to death?

Yeah; didn't think of it like that... I guess it's like Speed, except instead of a bus, it's a dude. Oh well, no Keanu Reeves in this one, so I would expect that to be a plus anyway.

I don't know it works, I haven't seen it!

Anyway, the reviews are good, that's all.

And no, crank, as in meth, isn't cool... that's my whole argument for the leniency of marijuana laws. More people are dangerously tweaking instead now. Oh well, that's another discussion.

Wait, wait.. let's start that discussion up again! :-B

OK, maybe not.

I was afraid this movie was going to be about some guy who had to have his adrenaline above a certain level or he was going to die.. how bloody stupid is that. When a movie rips off Speed, you know there's going to be trouble. :-P

I was thinking about seeing it tonight but plans got smashed.

Maybe I'll see it tomorrow, but I don't really care about it either way and wouldn't be disappointed to miss it or wait for the DVD.

Thought this was a thread about drugs and I don't know why I opened it after initially thinking that. :-b :-B

My wife and I both like Jason Statham, so we'll probably check it out. I'm not going in with high hopes, but it should be ok.
