Bitter-sweet for me. I've been an Agassi fan all the way back to when he broke into pro tennis. I like seeing him do well, and am rooting for him to go out with a win, but at the same time, this is it. The run is over, which makes me sad.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

I honestly don't think he was injured. If you get cramp in your leg like that where it hurts so much and you basically can't use the leg, you can't recover and keep playing that fast. It's impossible. He also seemed to turn it on at different times, and then would go back to jumping around and stretching. During a few of those points at the end he was moving around faster than I'd seen him at any point in the match, and during others he was almost motionless. He might have been playing possum to get Agassi's guard down, but luckily it didn't work out for him.
yea it was sorta questionable, but then why would a 21 yr old have to pull a fake one against a 36 yr old retiree? i dont think marco is that kind of a player, and you dont do that against agassi in us open where 99% of the fans are already on his side. i think he did cramp, but not one of those major cramps where you are immobilized.
Why would he do it? To gain any edge possible over Agassi in his attempt to win the match. It wasn't a smart move by any means (he seemed to be getting some boos after doing it for awhile when he won points) if that's in fact what he did.
I watch tennis here and there and all I can say is wow. That match was amazing. I'd like to see him win it, but I don't see him being able to beat Federer...that guy is like a terminator that was programmed to play tennis.

If Federer is the Terminator, Nadal is his Sarah Conner.
The run is officially over. I watched the match today, the fans in the stands were awesome, and Andre was exactly what we expect out of him. Very down to Earth and appreciative of the fans.
Thank you for the great times Andre, and thanks for the memories. Best of luck to you and yours for the rest of your life.

I've loved Agassi from his acid wash shorts days. He turned into one of the classiest professional athletes ever. One of my personal favourites and I will miss him. Happy trails Andre, hope that you stick around in broadcasting or something in the public eye.
