Ryan Church to work on his "eye"

Postby PlayingWithFire » Fri Sep 01, 2006 12:22 am

You guys remember the Jewish OF that plays for the Nationals? The guy who hit like 5 HR in 1 week then just dissappear and never regained everyday starter status since? Well, he's going to play in Mexico this winter and work with a visualization guy to fix his batting eye.

Honestly, when you are 28 and still can't figure out how to lay off a breaking pitch. I doubt anything can help you. We'll see though. I still think the guy has good power potential(30+ a year). He's just way too easy to strike out right now. We shall see.

Why does his being Jewish rate mentioning (if he even is...I don't know nor care...)? :-/

I agree though....by age 28, hitting breaking balls has either happened or probably never will. I doubt Church ever makes a serious MLB impact. :-t

no, being Jewish doesn't matter. I have a hard time remembering names today. I just described McGwire in a AIM conversation as "that fat, big, white dude who used to play for the A's and Cards"

I don't see him ever making a real impact, but on a side note, that article is from my local newspaper. Aren't I special? :-D
