Like does the USA team play past the regular season in MLB so that calling wood up is not even an option?

I dont think the Angels would really need/want to call him up. They have Cabrera at SS and Kendrick at 2B so theres no real need for them right now. I doubt they would want to start the arbitration clock before they really have to

Next year. Also, i think they were thinking of moving him over to 3rd because Dallas McPherson didn't pan out.

you dont think that they might want to give him some time in the majors once they figure that they are out of the playoff race? i mean that shouldnt take long. dont you think they would want to see if he is for real at the big league before deciding whether or not to deal guys like aybar and cabrera in the off season?
both aybar and cabrera have been named in trade talks before and during the season this year

I believe Team USA's "season" ends the first week of September, so he could be called up after that.

However, since the Angels already have Cabrera and Aybar, I don't think they will bother bringing up Wood this year.

exactly. they are planning on moving him to 3b because of aybar/cabrera. i know right now izturis is playing pretty good but like i said, if they completely fall out of the race would they bring him up to see what he has got?
