Like most of the Tigers line-up Thames has been slumping. Sadly for him, one of the few Tigers who has been hitting has been Monroe. Monroe's ankle/leg has healed and he is now able to play in the OF reducing Thames to DH role. However, agianst righties Dmitri Young DHes. So Thames has been caught in a numbers crunch.
I had to drop him because of his playing time decreasing. He did excellent for me there for a bit, but has too much competition for playing time. If he would be a better defense player, he probably would've seen more playing time.
I think Monroe getting a little hot streak also had something to do with Thames not seeing as many at bats. The Tigers are said to going after Carlos Lee or Soriano in the off season. They will have some extra money with D Young out of the picture. If that happens Maggs will move to DH and Thames to the fourth outfielder.

couldnt agree more, wen he played he as great. He filled in great for me with Matsui out. But w/ Demitri Young's return, his playing time fell off the charts.
