What a fickle bunch. Everyone wants to constantly write players off or flock to guys they bad mouthed at the beginning of the season and are now having big years i.e. A Soriano. A-rod is a proven player and should bounce back in Sept. You will forget his little slump and he will go top 5 in every draft next season - bottom line.

Well, clearly there are some who would let him go past top 5. It looks like Arod may be making a late season push making this whole thread moot. But I can see the draft going in many directions next year, which is good as far as I am concerned. It means more opportunities for me (and you).
He's still a top 20 player--even in the minds of us naysayers. I have him ranked above Vernon Wells and Jason Bay, who are two absolute studs.
The question is whether he's going to hold his place amongst the elite of the elite--especially with so many other studs out there.
He's going through a hot streak right now, no doubt. Just as there's no doubt he's still going to put him really good numbers next year.
But, the question is whether he's going to put up 2004/2006 numbers or whether he's going to put up 2005 numbers. If you think the latter, go ahead and draft him top 3. If you think the former, he's probably not worth what it'll take to get him.

yeah, what ever.
Hafner is slugging almost .700, and A-Rod isn't even slugging .500.
