C-Pat smashed his shoulder into the wall chasing down a Gary Matthews Jr. fly ball. Sounds like a definite DL stint.

Their dropping like flies this week boys! Sucks too b/c he's actually been a solid #3 OF for me in one of my leagues with the playoffs looming :~(

X-rays came back negative. Orioles have him listed day-to-day. I'm keeping my fingers crossed he'll be back in the lineup by the end of the week.

Last I heard he's day to day, but I find that pretty hard to believe he'd be back any time this week. If you have the roster room, then stash him away. Our roster space is very limited, so I'm gonna drop him for a more serviceable OF bat like Delmon Young or Shawn Green right now. :-[

Could be more than day2day. From Yahoo!:

Aug 30 Patterson left the Baltimore Orioles' game Tuesday with a sprained right shoulder after crashing into the wall while making a catch. X-rays were negative but he is expected to be out for a week to 10 days.

Any update on Patterson's condition? I expect about another 5-7 days. Any word that it might be longer than that?
