Yahoo Intervention Clarification Question

Postby OneLoveBoomer » Tue Aug 29, 2006 5:48 pm

Howdy --

j/w, does Yahoo absolutely not interfere in private league matters? I know they'll intercede in public leagues for things like collusion or dumping or whatever, but do they leave private leagues alone (i.e., the commish is where the buck stops, absolutely)?

Can't say I've ever seen Yahoo get involved in a private league. Other than to ban members for abusive language or collusion or something to that effect.
Yes doctor, I am sick.

Sick of those who feel self-entitled.
Sick of those who are hypocrites.
Yes doctor, an army is forming.
Yes doctor, there will be a war.
Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

perhaps they did at some point in the past, but they haven't done that in at least 3 or 4 years. private leagues are completely hands off

A guy in my league was cursing in his public league a few years back, and got banned from posting messages in public leagues and on message boards. However, the guy can still post in our private Yahoo! League, so I don't know if they can even punish anyone in private leagues.

I had a public draft on yahoo this year, and the commish. and his buddy decided to drop all my players, lock all my abilities, from posting, etc. This was all because I was a Jays fan and said that I didn't like the Red Sox. Anyways, I didn't care for that league anymore and haven't gone back to it since. I sent Yahoo an email and they said that they wouldn't interfere with private league's.
