perhaps they did at some point in the past, but they haven't done that in at least 3 or 4 years. private leagues are completely hands off

Can't say I've ever seen Yahoo get involved in a private league. Other than to ban members for abusive language or collusion or something to that effect.
A guy in my league was cursing in his public league a few years back, and got banned from posting messages in public leagues and on message boards. However, the guy can still post in our private Yahoo! League, so I don't know if they can even punish anyone in private leagues.
