If you take out the time Pujols missed, yeah, he's probably ahead. But he did miss that time, and it was time spent not being valuable to his team. It may be a little basic as far as analysis goes, but 10HR and 20 RBI is a pretty noticeable difference.
And how on Earth is Howard showing negative for WARP there?

Here's something else to chew on... not only is Howard not the NL MVP, but I'd give the Award to Beltran, Berkman, and M-Cab before him this season, too.
